Meet Our 2019 Team

We had a few changes in staff in 2018 and we thought this would be a good time to let you know about the changes and introduce you to our team who will be here to help you in 2019.

Firstly on a sad note, our longest serving employee retired from the legal world in December. Dane was instrumental in setting up Cormiston Legal’s residential conveyancing practice and had a loyal following of buyers and sellers that will miss his experience, thoroughness and dry sense of humour (he is the king of Dad jokes!). The team at Cormiston Legal will also miss him around the office although he has been told not to be a stranger.

On a brighter note we had 3 new starters last year. Firstly in February, Sharon Reynolds joined us in our Accounts Department. Sharon is responsible for maintaining our trust account, accounts payable and receivable and all other issues surrounding dealing with money.

Secondly, Zoey Donnellan joined us in May as a Commercial Solicitor. Zoey has nearly 4 years’ experience working in Launceston Law Firms and primarily assists clients with buying and selling businesses, wills and estates and leasing matters.

Last but by no means least, Anna Gardner joined us in September. Anna has a wealth of experience in Commercial Law, specialising in commercial property. Anna primarily assists clients with leasing (office, industrial and farming properties), buying and selling commercial property and wills and estates. Anna has over 15 years’ experience working in Launceston Law Firms.

Our legal team is made up of:

Sam Pratt – principal and founder of Cormiston Legal.

Anna Gardner – Senior Associate.

Zoey Donnellan – Lawyer.

Our residential conveyancing team is made up of Kylie Grant, Sam Van Veen and Ellen Towns.

Our administration team comprises Sharon Reynolds (Accounts), Steph Loosmore (Conveyancing Assistant) and our new trainee who starts with us on 4 February.

We are a Tasmanian Law Firm based in Launceston specialising in property matters, including residential conveyancing, commercial sales and purchases of property and businesses and leasing.
